Things to know
Scheduling
Call 10 - 12 weeks prior to your wedding date to schedule your first appointment. Your first appointment should be 6 - 8 weeks prior to your wedding date, and to ensure the best available appointment time requires 3 - 4 weeks lead time.
First Fitting
Your first appointment will be 30 minutes long, during which time your wedding dress will be fitted, your bustle type selected, and discuss any further changes you may desire to your wedding dress. It's important to bring your shoes and any undergarments you plan to wear on your wedding day to this first appointment.
Payment for alterations is due in full at this appointment.
While at your first appointment, you will have the opportunity to try on a wide selection of hair pieces, jewelry and veils with your wedding dress.
The first appointment ends with the scheduling of your second fitting.
Second Fitting
Your second fitting is typically 15 minutes long. You will try on your altered dress. If everything fits right, then you will leave your dress to be pressed in preparation for your wedding day. If there are additional alterations needed after this appointment, a third and FINAL fitting will be scheduled the week prior to your wedding.
Once your dress has been pressed it will be put in a 9 foot long bag to be picked up 1 - 2 days prior to your wedding. You will need a long, empty vehicle to lay your dress in so that it does not wrinkle. Hang your dress as quickly as possible to avoid wrinkles - DON'T RUN ERRANDS!!
You will not be able to try your dress on once it's pressed.
